I just finished reading
The Last Kingdom by
Bernard Cornwell. My Dad and my brother
Dallas recommended it to me. It's about how my ancestor on my father's side,
Alfred the Great, (I'm a direct descendant, and you probably are too) finally defeated my ancestors on my mother's side, the pagan Dane's (The Christensens were vicious
Vikings before they converted to Christianity and became docile fishermen), and saved England. Reading it almost convinced me to start worshiping
Odin and
Thor. I'm taking another Cornwell book,
Stonehenge, with me to read in Hawaii next week.
